Sortof. I personally took 3 hours Sunday to clear a walking path outside the traffic rail from Mt. Paran to NAHS. As you may know there was NO walking access, even outside the traffic rail prior to today. Walking or riding a bike to campus (or to connect to the amazing Cobb County trail system) had to be done on the actual street and is VERY dangerous. Come on Mount Paran~Northside citizens. Let’s get “real” sidewalks along Mount Paran and Northside Pkwy. Sandy Springs and Cobb are way better than we are regarding sidewalks. Why? We need sidewalks! Please talk to your local Politian, NAHS contact, ANYONE you think who could help or cares, and help us get sidewalks (along Mount Paran and Northside Pkwy to NAHS and Cobb trail system.)
Note: Even though I cleared a path there are 3 signs in the middle of the path. There are also large metal objects in ground at path trail head at Mount Paran. The metal objects are from previous barrier and are no longer utilized. All need to be removed or relocated.

How many times have you sat in your vehicle at the intersection of Mt. Paran and Randall Mill Roads and W. Conway Drive and thought, 'There must be a better way?' From 6-8 p.m. next Wednesday, January 18, you'll get a chance to answer that question. Renew Atlanta, a public works program, has asked residents to hear its plans and provide feedback for the intersection in a two-hour meeting at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3003 Howell Mill Road. Enter through the church's Welcome Center and proceed to Building A, Williams Hall. Also on the agenda: Improvement plans for the intersection of Moores Mill and Howell Mill Roads.
The Mt. Paran-Randall Mill-W. Conway intersection clogs with rush-hour traffic twice a day, almost every weekday. It's a situation that could worsen as the Atlanta Braves move to nearby Cobb County in April and begin a schedule that includes 56 weekday home games.
Atlanta Councilmember and neighbor Yolanda Adrean has advocated the intersection upgrade since voters passed the $250 million Renew Atlanta bond package in March 2015. The Mt. Paran-Northside Citizens Association has supported the work, in addition to other traffic and vehicular safety efforts.
MPNCA pushed for the addition of a stop sign at the intersection of W. Conway and Conway Valley Road to make it easier and safer for the roughly three dozen homes on Conway Valley to turn onto W. Conway.
Traffic and vehicular safety seem to be a rising issue in our neighborhood. The volume of traffic and the high speeds of motorists draw a lot of attention on this website. A recent crash at the four-way stop on Northside Drive, Garmon and W. Garmon Roads could have ended tragically if neighbors had not pulled the driver from his burning car. The accident, along with others at the intersection of Northside, Harris Trail and Davis Drive, has focused attention on whether these Sandy Springs junctures need attention, too.
And residents who walk for exercise on winding streets such as Randall Mill complain frequently about the high speed and ill manners of motorists. As the MPNCA board begins its 2017 work, traffic will take its place high on the agenda.
